03 - 1 small green bell pepper, diced
04 - 1 clove garlic, minced
05 - 0.5 cup pizza sauce
06 - 2.6 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
07 - 1.8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
08 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
09 - 0.5 teaspoon dried basil
10 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
11 - 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

→ Dough & Assembly

12 - 24 halal-certified egg roll wrappers
13 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

# How-To Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F, or heat oil to 350°F if frying.
02 - Cook halal ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
03 - Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté 3–4 minutes until softened.
04 - Stir in pizza sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Cook 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
05 - Allow mixture to cool slightly, then stir in mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
06 - Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Add 1–2 tablespoons of filling near one corner. Fold up the corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll up tightly. Brush edge with water to seal.
07 - Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
08 - For baking: Place rolls seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with olive oil. Bake 15–20 minutes, turning once, until golden and crisp. For frying: Deep-fry rolls in batches 2–3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
09 - Serve hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The crispy shell gives way to that perfect pizza flavor everyone craves
  • You can make a huge batch ahead and freeze them for unexpected guests
  • They reheat beautifully so leftovers actually taste better the next day
02 -
  • Let the filling cool before wrapping or the wrappers will tear and the cheese will melt too soon
  • Do not overstuff each wrapper or they will burst during cooking
  • Frying gives the crispiest results but baking is easier for large batches
03 -
  • Keep a small bowl of water nearby to seal wrapper edges securely
  • Space rolls at least an inch apart when baking so they crisp evenly
