Sweet strawberries meet creamy layers over crispy pretzel crust for a refreshing treat.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Pretzel Crust

01 - 2 cups crushed salted pretzels
02 - ½ cup melted unsalted butter
03 - ¼ cup granulated sugar

→ Creamy Layer

04 - 1 (8 oz) package softened cream cheese
05 - ½ cup granulated sugar
06 - 1 (8 oz) container thawed whipped topping

→ Strawberry Layer

07 - 1 (6 oz) package strawberry gelatin
08 - 2 cups boiling water
09 - 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

# How-To Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and ¼ cup sugar in a medium bowl. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely.
02 - Beat cream cheese and ½ cup sugar until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping. Spread evenly over cooled pretzel crust, ensuring edges are sealed completely to prevent gelatin seepage. Refrigerate while preparing next layer.
03 - Dissolve strawberry gelatin in 2 cups boiling water. Let cool to room temperature without allowing it to set.
04 - Arrange sliced strawberries evenly over creamy layer. Carefully pour cooled gelatin over strawberries. Refrigerate until gelatin is fully set, at least 2 hours. Slice and serve chilled.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The pretzel crust stays perfectly crunchy even days later, creating this incredible texture contrast that nobody expects
  • It travels beautifully to potlucks and picnics, looking impressive but actually coming together with almost zero effort
02 -
  • That creamy layer MUST touch the edges of the pan completely or the gelatin will find any gap and make your pretzel crust soggy
  • Let the gelatin cool to room temperature but do not let it start setting up or it will not pour evenly over the strawberries
03 -
  • Crush your pretzels in a food processor for the most even crust, or put them in a zip top bag and crush with a rolling pin if you want to work out some frustration
  • Use a offset spatula to spread the creamy layer it gives you much more control and creates those smooth professional looking layers
