01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
02 - Rinse asparagus spears and trim woody ends. Pat thoroughly dry.
03 - In a large bowl, toss asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until evenly coated.
04 - Divide asparagus into 8 bundles, using 3 spears per bundle.
05 - Wrap each bundle tightly with a slice of beef bacon, securing the ends underneath.
06 - Place bundles seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
07 - Roast for 15 to 20 minutes, or until bacon is crispy and asparagus is tender-crisp.
08 - Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese immediately after baking, if desired. Serve warm.
